Banned in Boston
April 29,2009

Governor Deval Patrick role-played President Obama, Mayor Thomas Menino channeled President Abraham Lincoln and Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton cross-dressed. It was quite a night at the House of Blues! Banned in Boston, a comedy musical revue featuring the city's notable political, business and community leaders, and managed by Corinthian Events, raised more than $435,000 for Urban Improv, an interactive program teaching youth to use improvisational theatre for violence prevention and conflict resolution. Some 500 guests filled three floors of Lansdowne Street’s hottest new venue to witness Car Talk’s Tom and Ray Magliozzi, Broadway songstress Nancy Anderson and Beyonce wannabees wiggle it on stage…worth every penny of the price of admission.
